Position overview
As artificial intelligence reshapes the educational landscape, Azadi Partners is leading human-centered, equity-focused AI professional learning across New York City and the Hudson Valley. We are seeking dynamic, tech-fluent AI Training & Facilitation Specialists to join our expert bench of facilitators.
In this role, you will facilitate engaging, hands-on AI workshops for K–12 teachers, school leaders, and support staff. Offerings range from foundational AI literacy and instructional co-planning to cohort-based leadership development and specialized/elective workshops (such as AI in Special Education and AI for Student Support).
You will work as a true partner alongside our leadership team. We provide turnkey presentation decks and resources. You bring the facilitation magic, adult learning expertise, and passion for empowering educators.
Compensation & Support
Competitive Facilitation Rates
Hourly: $100.00 – $150.00 / hour for 60- to 120-minute workshops and coaching. Full-Day Engagement Rate: $700.00 – $1,100.00 / day for full-day professional learning (in-person or virtual; prorated for half-day engagements).
Custom Content Development Pay
$60.00 – $75.00 / hour for pre-approved curriculum design and specialized resource creation.
Travel Reimbursement
100% reimbursement for approved travel expenses for in-person sessions.
Systemic Support
Full access to master training decks and resources, supported by Azadi’s executive team with turnkey facilitation tools, protocols, and templates.
Key responsibilities
Workshop Facilitation
Deliver high-energy, interactive AI professional development sessions (in-person and virtual) across NYC and the Hudson Valley, ranging from 60-minute PDs to full-day workshops.
Session Customization
Review provided materials and adapt content to fit the specific grade bands, subject areas, or goals of partner schools.
Participant Support
Guide educators through live, hands-on practice with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) while emphasizing ethical AI use, data privacy (NYSED EdLaw 2-d), and teacher agency.
Optional Content Development
Collaborate with Azadi Partners’ instructional team to design new, specialized AI modules or prompt libraries for custom client requests, as needed.
Qualifications & experience
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education, Educational Technology, or Instructional Design preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching, instructional coaching, or school/district leadership experience.
Demonstrated track record of facilitating engaging adult learning in-person and virtually.
Experience or background in Special Education, Student Support/Counseling, or Multilingual Learning is a plus for elective/specialized modules.
Skills
Deep comfort using generative AI tools for lesson design, differentiation, or administrative workflows.
Understanding of NYSED EdLaw 2-d data privacy standards and ethical AI implementation.
Warm, empathetic, and adaptable communication style that connects with diverse educator audiences.
Schedule & location
Schedule
Flexible, project-based 1099 contract. Session dates and times are scheduled in advance based on your availability and district requests.
Location
Combination of in-person school visits across NYC and the Hudson Valley (Orange, Ulster, Putnam, Westchester Counties) and virtual sessions.
Growth Opportunities
High-performing consultants may be offered expanded leadership roles across multiple school sites and multi-year contract renewals.
