Position overview
In partnership with Yonkers Public Schools, Azadi Partners is seeking innovative, forward-thinking Title IV STEAM & AI Innovation Specialists for the 2026–2029 school years.
In this role, you will design and facilitate student-facing enrichment, Project-Based Learning (PBL) challenges, Artificial Intelligence literacy workshops, and college/career readiness programs for students in participating private and non-public schools. You will empower students to move from passive consumers of technology to active, ethical creators, critical thinkers, and future-ready scholars.
This position is ideal for EdTech specialists, STEAM/PBL curriculum designers, secondary educators, and college/career advisors looking for flexible, high-impact consulting opportunities backed by a supportive team.
Compensation & Onboarding
Delivery Rate
$75.00 – $95.00 / hour (commensurate with credentials, technical expertise, and project experience).
Onboarding Stipends
Opportunities for additional project-based stipends for initial orientation, site setup, and curriculum alignment.
Collaborative Support
Supported by Azadi's instructional team with access to foundational guides, lesson structures, and data tracking tools.
Key responsibilities
STEAM & Project-Based Learning (PBL) Instruction
Design and lead hands-on, inquiry-based STEAM workshops and community problem-solving challenges that integrate literacy and mathematical skills.
Support students in producing high-quality artifacts for annual student-led inquiry showcases.
Student AI Literacy & Ethical Innovation
Facilitate interactive sessions on the responsible, critical, and creative applications of Generative AI tools (e.g., prompting, digital citizenship, academic integrity).
Teach students modern research strategies and digital fluency skills to evaluate online information effectively.
Postsecondary Pathways & Academic Rigor
Deliver college and career strategy workshops, helping secondary students build academic portfolios and explore future career pathways.
Lead sessions focused on advanced literacy and mathematical problem-solving to prepare students for high-stakes academic benchmarks and postsecondary expectations.
Documentation & Progress Monitoring
Maintain student attendance and participation logs, compile portfolios of student work, and submit monthly progress summaries following data protocols.
Qualifications & experience
Education & Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM/STEAM discipline, Educational Technology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience facilitating K–12 student workshops, STEAM/PBL programs, or college/career readiness initiatives.
Demonstrated expertise in integrating educational technology, Generative AI tools, or digital literacy into student learning.
Proven track record in designing engaging, hands-on, and student-centered learning experiences in urban or diverse school settings.
Skills
Strong technical fluency in AI platforms, digital media, or STEM/PBL frameworks.
Exceptional group facilitation and classroom management skills that inspire student agency and collaboration.
Excellent communication and organization skills for project-based reporting.
Schedule & location
Schedule
Flexible, project-based hours tailored to participating school schedules. Sessions may occur during the school day or in designated after-school/enrichment windows.
Location
In-person at participating non-public school sites in Yonkers, with select virtual workshops or hybrid sessions as needed.
Growth Opportunities
High-performing contractors may be offered expanded roles, including train-the-trainer leadership or cross-workstream opportunities in Title II professional development.
